Advice Following Catalytic Converter Theft Reports – Bracknell & Slough |
||
|
Officers are currently investigating a series of catalytic converter thefts across Bracknell and Slough, which begun in January. These offences usually happen overnight, and Toyota Auris’ being most frequently targeted. However, a number of other makes and models have also been affected. Whilst we are investigating, officers are asking residents to be mindful of the where they park. If possible, try to park in view of CCTV cameras, and in well-lit areas, as well as reversing up against walls and other objects so offenders cannot have the room to cut the catalytic converters off. Most importantly, if your vehicle is targeted or you see someone acting suspiciously, please report it by calling 101 or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 This information enables us to build a clearer understanding of the situation and helps us determine where to direct our patrols. We would like to reassure the community that Thames Valley Police is committed to keeping you safe, and we are here to help should you need us. | ||
